Updating Older Releases

Product Licensing Update Required

To use current releases, users of older releases must update the DownStream license management software and your license file. The installation application will install these updates for you. This includes updates to nodelock and license servers using a Dongle, MAC Address or UUID as hostID. Consult the installation guide  for details on installing new licensing on Linux based license servers.

Note: The updated license management and license file enables use of current releases or CAM350 14.x and BluePrint 6.x.

How to Update Your Product Licensing

To use current releases, you must update your product licensing and install a new license file. For your convenience, if your annual maintenance contract was current as of September 1, 2023, your new license file is included with the installation. Just follow these steps to update your licensing, install your new license file and software.

  1. Start the installation.
  2. When prompted to choose Install or Update Licensing, or Install DownStream Products, choose Install or Update Licensing and choose Next.
  3. When prompted to update the license manager, choose Yes.
  4. After a few additional prompts, the License Specification page appears. If Install License File from Media is selected, your new license file was found. Choose Next.
  5. Continue with the installation process and choose Install on the last page.
  6. The installation will update your licensing and license file and test license checkout.
  7. Follow the prompts and click Finish to complete the license installation.
  8. Shortly after the license installation is completed, a prompt appears asking to Install the DownStream Products.
  9. Click Yes to install the software and follow the prompts.

Maintenance Validation Required

As a prerequisite to downloading the software, users are required to validate their eligibility to install the update. Only users with a current maintenance contract as of September 1, 2023 are eligible to download the software. Have your product registration number or license hostID available and click the link below to start the validation.
