Latest Release Highlights
DFMStream Version 15.0 includes a new Stencil Designer, enhancements to Netlist and Design Compare and Subscription pricing.
DFMStream Version 15.0
Stencil Designer:
- Stencil Designer is a new module that facilitates creation of custom paste mask stencils sourced from imported manufacturing data.
- Stencil Designer automates creation of custom paste mask stencils for flashes and pads.
- Stencil Designer allows users to leverage PCB manufacturing data for greater control over stencil creation.
Some Features Include:
- Interactively select graphic patterns or footprints to convert or automatically convert patterns matching an existing stencil library.
- Use Stencil library and management tools to create new stencil libraries or share stencil libraries across projects or across engineering teams.
- Easily create custom sized stencil shapes such as Homeplate, Cpad, Dogbone or apply offset or scale to resize existing stencil shapes.
- Stencil Designer also includes support for custom stencils for SOIC or PLCC patterns using heel and toe parameters.
New DFMStream Subscription Pricing:
- DFMStream is now available on a term-based subscription. Pay monthly for access to any DFMStream configuration or new subscription only configurations.
User Requested Enhancements included in DFMStream Version 15.0
A number of customer-requested tactical enhancements were made DFMStream.
Netlist and Design Compare
- Modifications were made to compare algorithms for pinpointing locations of opens and shorts.
- Added support for Internal net points for external nets.
- Improved visibility and color control for CAM nets, external nets, and non-CAM net elements. Includes new functions for hiding/showing nets.
- Modifications to error navigator when reviewing net analysis results.
Auto-Align Layers – New feature for automatic alignment of all layers in a design to a common origin during Automatic Import, or interactively post import.
Panel Design Integration with BluePrint-PCB – This integration with BluePrint allows Assembly Panels created as a document in BluePrint to be shared by DFMStream for manufacturing file outputs including V-scores, mill tabs and fiducials.
New Cadence Allegro Integration – PCB designs created in Cadence Allegro or OrCAD PCB Designer can be passed over to DFMStream via new automated integration. Use new features embedded into Cadence tool menu to initiate data passing and enable cross probing. For enhanced DFM analysis, integration options include passing of PCB Editor constraint areas and creation of a custom Stream. When Errors are explored in DFMStream, error markers are back annotated to PCB Editor for improved navigation of design errors.
