DownStream products are flexible, open systems offering a wide variety of import and export capabilities, including ODB++, IPC-2581, Gerber, IPC D-356, and many more. DownStream also offers the ability to import and export specific CAD databases.

DirectCAD Interface

Directly import your CAD database for flawless integration.  Working with all the intelligent data contained within your CAD files allows you to maintain the integrity of your design database while avoiding translation issues. This format takes the place of individual Gerber, drill, and aperture files. Through the integration of intelligent data, we have expanded the number of intrinsic aperture shapes supported.  With this, there is little to no need for “Custom” apertures.

For an open neutral global standard for efficient PCB design data transfer.

ODB++ Interface

The defacto standard for intelligent data exchange in EDA. ODB++ is an intelligent format that captures all the CAD/EDA, assembly and PCB fabrication knowledge in one single database. This format takes the place of individual Gerber, drill, and aperture files, and adds additional information such as components and nets.

All major CAD tools, can export this format, allowing you to bring intelligent data to the CAM system. Common issues with aperture files, drill tools, and other problematic data formats are avoided. You have the capability of exporting ODB++ as well, for a more accurate and intelligent method of exchanging data. 

DXF Interface

The DXF Interface offers Bi-directional DXF support for DownStream products.  It handles filled solids, true text, blocks, nested blocks, and builds aperture table automatically, and more.

CAMTEK AOI Interface

This feature allows CAM350 to export to Camtek AOI equipment.   It will generate files for download to AOI machines, mask out unwanted areas, and Choose Alignment pins.
