DownStream Technologies Announces Pre-release Purchase Program for BluePrint for Printed Circuit Boards™
Revolutionary New Document Authoring Software available at 25% off during Beta Stage
Bolton, Mass – December 7, 2005 – DownStream Technologies, LLC today announced a Pre-release
Purchase Program for BluePrint for Printed Circuit Boards™, the revolutionary new document authoring tool that quickly
creates electronic PCB drawings to drive PCB fabrication, assembly and inspection. The program is designed to meet the
growing demand for the product since it’s introduction and announcement this past spring at PCB West 2005.
“Since we demonstrated BluePrint at PCB West our customers have indicated a strong desire to purchase
the product as quickly we can make it available,” said Rick Almeida, founder of DownStream. “The Pre-release Program makes
Beta-stage software available at a discount of 25% and allows the customer to receive the final released version at no
additional cost”, he added.
The program is designed to accomplish several objectives. First, customers can purchase and take
delivery of beta versions and receive a substantial savings over final manufacturers suggested retail pricing. Second,
the program creates an opportunity for customers to provide valuable feedback on product functionality to ensure BluePrint
meets the diverse and unique needs of each customer. The program also allows maintenance to be purchased at the same 25%
discount. However, the actual maintenance start date begins only when DownStream officially releases BluePrint to the market.
During beta, customers will receive software updates and support at no additional cost until the product is released.
“We see this program as a win-win opportunity,” continued Almeida. “Under the program, customers can
reduce the cost of implementing BluePrint into their environment while at the same time steer the product to meet their
needs. In return DownStream increases it’s beta test base and gets practical real-life feedback to ensure that this
revolutionary product creates the most detailed documentation with the minimal amount of effort,” he added.

- Program Start - The program will begin at Beta Release (estimated to be September 2, 2005 but
