CAM350 Classic Release 10.2 - Updated February 17

DownStream is pleased to announce CAM350 Release 10.2 is now available for download. We have optimized the software's performance and memory usage. Areas of improved performance include Gerber import and ODB++ import. Optimization for memory usage is delivered in CAM350 10.1 for all polygon analysis, which means that larger more complex designs can now be processed by commands such as Netlist Extract and Gerber Import. CAM350 10.2 also delivers software enhancements and corrections.

CAM350 Classic 10.0 completes a strategic milestone in DownStream’s product development lifecycle as CAM350 will integrate with BluePrint’s document authoring tool to create a synergistic solution for all PCB post-processing - Introducing CAM350XL

Release 10 includes new functionality and enhancements, including:

• Release Package Navigator
  
  Store all CAM350 outputs in a single electronic file. Gerber, drill, and panel data can be easily accessible to BluePrint.  Any design data created by BluePrint can also be used and viewed by CAM350.
  
  
• Graphic Interface
  
  Updated to a modern MS Office® style interface. Tab based editors with task oriented pallets give a uniform interface across all DownStream products.
  
  
• Project Explorer Bar
  
  Brings many of the viewing options to the default CAM350 window.  Searching for nets, parts, D-codes, and other key elements can now be accomplished from the main window in all the Editors.
  
  
• Flip Panel
  
  Select boards in the panel and flip them so that the top side of half the board and the bottom side of half will be side by side in the panel.
  
  

• Design Compare - Graphically compare two different designs.

CAM350 Classic Release 10 is the third major release of the software from DownStream Technologies in just five years. Part of the enhancements to CAM350 focus on continued improvement in the verification of design data before commitment to PCB fabrication, while other updates bring new functionality and improved usability.
