Marlborough, Mass – March 27, 2007 – DownStream Technologies, LLC today announced BluePrint for PCBs™
Version 1.7 - the latest version of DownStream's revolutionary software solution that creates the documentation which drives
PCB fabrication, assembly and inspection. This release delivers numerous customer enhancements as well as general product
quality improvements to increase the product's usability, stability and market reach.
This release also continues DownStream's commitment to delivering "rolling releases" to their installed user base.

BluePrint for PCBs Version 1.7 Highlights
Version 1.7 includes new functionality and enhancements including:
- New Visibility functionality - Advanced visibility controls for Components, Pins, Nets, Drills, Ref Des’s, Part Names,
and Attributes. BluePrint’s visibility function allows customer to fine tune each PCB View display to better articulate
manufacturing instructions
- ODB++ Import Enhancement and Optimization - Expedition ODB++ enhanced with Expedition ASCII data input and ODB++ memory
optimization for large CAD files
- Dimensioning and Drafting updates - Customer driver defect resolutions and enhancements for dimensioning and drafting commands
- Automation API - Customer driven updates and complete API documentation release
- Omnify® interface - BluePrint now supports a direct integration link via ODBC to Omnify Software SQL database
- Import Parts List Enhancements - Users can now import external parts list by ref des instead of Part Name and improved
merge and replace options
- Vectorized Printing - Several enhancements have been made to increase the performance when exporting to printers and plotters
- Search functionality - New Searching function and command updates allow users to search for various PCB and document elements
throughout the entire documentation package. The search function produces hyperlinks to each found instance providing quick
identification of parts, details, notes, and other design elements
- PADS 2007 support and PADS stroke font support - Support for the latest PADS Layout release from Mentor Graphics
- DXF and PDF Export Optimization - Six (6) times less memory used for large files
- Table Headers on each split section - BluePrint now automatically replicates headers on split tables for parts lists,
variant lists, component lists, etc
- ReOrder Sheet - Users may now interactively re-order drawings and sheets within the release package
- Sort by height in PCB View Format Panel - Users may now sort the PCB View contents by component height
Availability and Pricing
Version 1.7 will be available April 6, 2007 as a free download to all customers with a valid maintenance
contract. Pricing for BluePrint Foundations starts at $2,750 and BluePrint Pro begins at $7,500.
