DownStream Technologies Completes Phase One Development of Worldwide Partner Program

Worldwide Reseller Channel Helps Deliver Comprehensive Solutions and Expertise for Customers in Over 45 Countries.

Bolton, Mass – September 30, 2002 – DownStream Technologies, LLC, a leading supplier of innovative software and services for the CAM marketplace, today announced the completion of Phase One of the development of their Worldwide Partner Program.  This Program is part of DownStream's strategy to provide superior customer service, support, and solution deployment for its CAM350 product line throughout the world.

Since January of 2002, DownStream has actively recruited and supported program participation in strategic locations under the leadership of EDA veteran and DownStream co-founder Joseph Clark. "Our Worldwide Partners are evaluated and selected on a very stringent set of criteria and are not only well-versed in our solutions but also offer a wide array of addtional services and expertise to aid their customers," said Clark.  "We are committed to building the industry's most innovative Partner Program - one which will allow our customers to receive local sales, support, training and service from organizations that will help them make the most of their investment in our products."

Phase One of the program called for the establishment of at least one qualified partner in each of DownStream's targeted territories by the completion of Q4 2002.  "We are extremely pleased with the level of response and commitment our partners have displayed in the program and believe it has been very instrumental to our early success," said Clark.  "DownStream will continue to add program partners and solidify our position as a worldwide leader in the PCB Fabrication Solutions marketplace," he added.

To date, over 50 companies worldwide have been accepted into the program including Trilogic, TSI, Circuit CAD, HYTEK (U.S.), Millennium Technology (U.K.), Tecnotron Elektronik GmbH (Germany), CAD Italia (Italy), Transfer EDS (Netherlands), PADS Japan (Japan), KGS Technology (China), BlueChips Technology (Singapore) and Korea CAD Design (Korea).

"We are excited to be associated with DownStream Technologies," said Brad Paul, President of Trilogic (U.S.).  "The entire focus of the company is on providing powerful, yet easy to use CAM tools to help customers meet their time-to-volume production goals, and they have presented a very clear vision for the development of the CAM350 product line to support this," he added.

"The management team at DownStream Technologies has a proven track record of success in developing mainstream CAD/CAM tools," commented Geoff Hicks, Chairman of Millennium Technology (U.K.).  "They have demonstrated a clear understanding of the marketplace, and focus wholly on their customer's needs in their product development.  This experience and dedication is what we need and require in a partner to serve the UK CAM market," he added.
