All BluePrint drawing elements using the source PCB CAD
data always remains linked to that source data. This allows BluePrint to perform
lightening fast ECOs by refreshing only the source CAD data. When refreshed, all
instances of the original CAD data (PCB views, tables, details, parts lists,
drill charts, etc), are refreshed to display the new PCB CAD data. All unique
settings defined for each instance are maintained further minimizing ECO
documentation. BluePrint will also detect if the source CAD file was altered and
prompt the user to refresh. A graphic indicator informs the user if the
BluePrint documentation package is in or out of synch with the source PCB CAD
data. There is no limit on the number of times the PCB CAD data can be
refreshed. The ECO function also works on imported Parts List data created from
an ERP/MRP/PLM system.
BluePrint supports an instant ECO function that refreshes all views of the PCB CAD data in
the documentation package whenever the source PCB CAD file is updated. A graphic indicator informs the user
if the documentation package is in or out of synch with the source PCB CAD data, dramatically reducing the time
associated with changing documentation due to PCB artwork changes.
User Benefit: Dramatically reduces the amount of time
associated with changing documentation due to PCB artwork changes.
